Cooperation to deepen the long-existing bilateral relationship between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Greece in the political, economic and social affairs was discussed in a meeting between H.E. Ambassador Demitu Hambisa and H.E. Nikos Dendias, Greece Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the discussion, H.E. Ambassador Demitu Hambisa Briefed H.E. the Minister the current political and economic situation in Ethiopia and the efforts of the Government towards peace and development in the Country giving emphasis to the humanitarian assistance to the affected areas, Human rights violation accountability and the efforts towards having all-inclusive National Dialogue.
The Ambassador also mentioned the construction of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and the interest of Ethiopia towards equitable utilization of the River and discussion in good faith to resolve the issues.
The Minister on his part mentioned the Historical relationship among the countries and stressed on the cooperation to deepen the existing bilateral relationship.
The minister also stated that Ethiopia would tackle current problems and expressed his country’s support for the efforts of the government towards peace and development.
