ነሐሴ 26 ቀን 2014 ዓ.ም ክብርት አምባሳደር ደሚቱ ሀምቢሳ በጣልያን የዓለም አቀፍ ጥናት ተቋም (Institute of Global Studies) ዳይሬክተር ከሆኑት Dr. Nicolo Pedde ጋር በውቀታዊ የሀገራችን ጉዳይ በተለይም የህወኃት ዳግም ወረራ በተመለከተ ሰፊ ውይይት ያካሄዱ ሲሆን በውይይታቸው ወቅት በዳይሬክተሩ በተነሱ ጥያቄዎች በተለይም መንግስት ለሰላም ያለው ቁርጠኝነት፣ የሰብዓዊ ዕርዳታ ሁኔታዎችና ሌሎች ተያያዥ ጉዳዮች ላይ ላነሱት ጥያቄዎች በቂ ማብራሪያ ሰጥተዋል::
በውይይታቸው ወቅት ክብርት አምባሳደር ደሚቱ ሀምቢሳ መንግስት ምንግዜም ቢሆን ችግሩን በተጀመረው የአፍሪካ ህበረት የሰላም ድርድር በኩል ለመፍታት ቁርጠኛና ዝግጁ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል::

On 01 September 2022, Ambassador Demitu Hambisa has made fruitful discussion with Dr. Nicolo Pedde, Director for the Institute of Global Studies on issues of the current situation of Northern Ethiopia. In their discussion, issues raised by the Director such as the resumption of conflicts in North Ethiopia, the stance of the government, the Humanitarian access and other related pertinent issues were clarified by H.E. Ambassador Demitu Hambisa.
