Today September 28, 2022, H.E. Ambassador Demitu Hambisa holds productive discussion with Mr. Lopes Da Silva, the Deputy Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP).
During the discussion, H.E. Ambassador Demitu Hambisa briefed the Deputy Executive Director about the current situation in Ethiopia stressing on the commitment of the Government of Ethiopia to end the conflict in the Northern Part of Ethiopia Peacefully.
The Ambassador further explained the reckless acts of TPLF in hindering the peace efforts, causing destruction of infrastructure, looting humanitarian aid ad fuels and recruiting children for military.
The Ambassador also urges the organization to denounce these irresponsible acts of the TPLF.
The Executive Director on his part mentioned that the WFP is closely following the recent situation in Northern Ethiopia and affirms to increase its humanitarian operation
