( September 23, 2024): The Global Conference on Animal Health Innovation Reference centers and Vaccines has commenced today in the World Food Organization’s conference hall in Rome.
Ethiopia has been represented by H.E. Dr. Girma Amente, Minister of Agriculture of FDRE. In his speech during the opening session H.E. Dr. Girma Amente stressed the importance of animal health and innovation and preventive vaccines production and distribution to other African countries and appreciated FAO, WHO and UNICEF for their unreserved support for the protection and eradication of transboundary pandemic diseases and strengthening one health approach.
He has also stressed upon the success histories of “Green Legacy”, Yelemat Turufat (Bounty Basket), Irrigated wheat production and other initiatives in the area of agriculture
